Margaret started harp lessons at the age of fourteen with harpist Susannah Shucksmith.She then continued her musical training under the late Sidonie Goossens OBE and Sussex harpist Helen Arnold.
She has played for Royalty, including recent performaces for HRH The Princess Royal, HRH Princess Alexandra and HRH Prince Edward and Sophie Countess Of Wessex.
Margaret has given recitals at National Trust properties, played at the City of London Guildhall,
The Baltic Exchange, The Savoy, Ritz and Hilton Langham Hotels in London,
The Garrick Club in London, Glyndebourne Opera House, The Royal Courts of Justice
Her work includes formal concerts, after dinner speeches with music, lecture/recitals for Womem's Institutes, Probus, U3A's, Rotary,corporate, Masonic functions and for many weddings, private parties and charity events. She plays in the state rooms and gardens at Penshurst Place in Kent, wearing period costume and featured in the BBC2 series 'The Supersizers Go Medieval' with Sue Perkins, which was filmed there.
Harp music can also be very theraputic and Margaret regularly entertains residents in nursing and residential homes.
